My UX Design Process
Understand
Product Definition
Understand two basic elements
-
User
-
Brand
During this phase, I made brainstormed around the product with stakeholders, trying to understand what are the problems that the users face and know if this project aligns with the brand's mission and goals.
Research
The blood of the project, how the entire project will turn out, this is made to challenge all assumptions, this phase typically includes both user research and market research. These are some methods of user research:
-
1:1 interview
-
User/focus groups
-
Surveys
-
Usability testing
Here I analyze competitors, research the latest UX Trends and keep an eye on guidelines.
Analyze
draw insights from data collected during the research phase, moving from “what” users want/think/need to “why” they want/think/need it
This phase also includes:
-
Creating User Personas
-
Creating use cases
-
User journey maps
-
Storyboarding
Design
When users’ wants, needs, and expectations from a product are clear it’s when I act, the design phase usually includes:
-
Sketching
-
Wireframes
-
Prototypes
-
Design Specification
-
Design Systems
Implementation
it’s time to implement; pass everything to the development team who will create a high-fidelity version of the user interface. Validation is an essential step in the design process because it helps team understand whether the design works for users
The validation phase may include:
-
Testing sessions
-
Surveys
-
Analytics
-
Beta Launch
Validation
Evaluate
Once the product launches, it’s time for another round of analysis.
-
Where did our process go right? And why?
-
Where did we struggle? And why?
-
How are our users responding to the product?
-
Did it solve their issues and pain points?
-
Where can we improve the product?
-
What lessons can we take away from this process for future products?
